The French River flows in natural beauty through Ontario, along with a rich history. A pivotal route for Indigenous people and explorers, this river played a crucial role in the fur trade era around 1615. In the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, the river witnessed voyagers navigate its challenging waters. Designated as a Canadian Heritage River in 1986, this river covers a distance of 110 kilometres.
